The International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) is a research institute located in Laxenburg, near Vienna, Austria. Founded in 1972, IIASA conducts policy-oriented research into the critical issues of global environmental, economic, technological, and social change that we face today and that are too large or too complex to be solved by a single country or academic discipline.
Early-career researchers wishing to develop skills and expertise in systems analysis, and international and interdisciplinary research are invited to apply for the positions below. Positions for early-career researchers are made possible through Israel becoming a member of IIASA in December 2017. Selection will be made based on:
- The applicant’s academic credentials and background; applicants need to be a member of or affiliated to an academic or research institution in Israel.
- Synergies between the applicant’s current research and IIASA’s research agenda (see IIASA Research Plan 2016-2020); and
- The applicant’s potential to facilitate and forge long-term collaborations between the Israeli academic sector and IIASA.
